Why We Cannot Change Our Hearts by Willpower
Most of us have tried to become better people through greater effort. We resolve to be more patient, more loving, more disciplined, or more faithful, only to discover that our old habits eventually return. The problem isn't simply our behavior—it's our heart.
The Bible teaches that true transformation begins from within. God doesn't merely ask us to try harder; He offers to give us a new heart and place His Spirit within us. Real change happens when His life begins shaping our thoughts, desires, attitudes, and actions from the inside out.
God's Life Living Within Us

Father,

Shape my thoughts, my desires, and my actions until they reflect the life of Jesus. May I rely less on my own strength and more on the power of Your Spirit living within me.
Thank You for loving me enough not to leave me as I am. Continue Your work of transformation in my heart today.
