Bathed in Glory

This is a poem about heaven. Two of my dear friends passed away recently, and it stirred me to write about heaven—about seeing them again and seeing Jesus.

While it's quite hard to describe what heaven will be like, I hope this blesses you.

Bathed in Glory

To stand before our God and King

And hear the jubilant angels sing

To gaze upon such wondrous Love

All holy as the whitest dove

Is far beyond all earthly joy

That mortal hearts could e‘er deploy

To look into His fiery eyes

And find Him there, our Holy prize

Oh the gift, eternal Love

It wraps our souls like well-worn gloves

Surrounded by the sweetest grace

With friends we love that share this place

Blameless will we stand and be

Before the royal court of Three

All our senses now awake

There but by His holy sake

Waking up in this new land

Bathed by glory, there we stand

Greeting friends and family too

Full of life, our dreams made true
