Does God Hear Me When I Cry?

If you’ve ever wondered, “Does God hear me when I cry?”, you’re not alone.

Maybe you’ve felt it…the quiet heaviness in your chest, racing thoughts you can’t seem to slow down, a sense that something inside of you has dimmed.

You may not have the words for it.

But God does.

And more importantly, He hears you.

For anyone who feels trapped in that dark place, know that your cry is heard.

If this is where you are—or if someone you love is there—I pray these words remind you that Jesus meets us right in the middle of our lowest moments… and gently brings us back to life.

Finding Hope in Christ Again

MY CRY IS HEARD

This burden is a weight to bear

Trapped as in a hunter's snare

Heavy is this trouble now

I want relief, but not sure how

/

My empty heart sits deep in me

It's covered up no more to see

Your hopefulness that once was bright

Has now been hid from all Your light

I'm tired and weary from it all

The smell of death from Adam's fall

I'm all unsettled in my chest

And far from good or near my best

A hopeless sense has covered me

It stretches wide just like the sea

My passion's gone for joyful things

It's flown away on buzzard's wings

My motivation's crashed and burned

And in my head, my thoughts are churned

I pray this lonesome weariness

Moves beyond my soul's egress

I cry a river in my bed

I pray this pain I now can shed

These waves now crash upon my soul

And cause a dark and deeper hole

/

Yet Jesus comes to fill them in

He brings relief like next of kin

His touch is what I need today

It’s by His side I want to stay

Now I know my cry is heard!

Your peace I’ve found when life was blurred

Your strength and grace now comfort me

You soothe my mind and help me be

The child You made originally

I’m now at home alive in Thee

“The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.”
