On a sunny patch of land

Inside my heart, where light now stands

Where trees are tall and vibrant green

Where Your design gives life a sheen

This is where Your love resides

When my mind no more decides

To look to other gods nearby

Away from You, the Lord most High

To live inside this patch of land

Where hate and toil are always banned

I see the world with patient eyes

Where Truth reigns free, with no more lies

It’s in this sunny holy space

Where I feel your warm embrace

It’s where Your heart’s alive in me

Now present and most fully free

Joyful are the days I’m here

As Your hands so gently steer

My mind and soul to what is best

Giving me much-needed rest

For in this world of storms and pain

Where sorrow is our life’s refrain

I have the choice to be with You

On this sunny patch of land

Thriving in all that You planned
