Gratitude: The Holy Land of the Heart

Gratitude is powerful medicine—it lifts us out of worry, re-centers our focus on God, and reminds us of His faithful hand.

GRATITIDE

Thankful for God's gratitude

It somehow changes attitude

As it honors those nearby

It lifts me past my fretful sigh

Yes, grateful for my family

Grateful for a remedy

Grateful for both friend and foe

Grateful to the God I know

A grateful heart in all its ways

Thanks the Lord with words to say

And give me light, no matter where

In gloomy days and those more fair

Gratitude points out from me

To Another I can't see

Now more thankful than before

My mind no longer is at war

Like a pill to fix a pain

Gratitude can lift a stain

And calm my world as winds arise

And point me upward to the skies

All that's good has at its source

A thankful heart along life's course

I owe to Him His watchful hand

Yes, gratitude's a Holy land
