The Shift’s Begun

Witnessing the change of seasons here in April, reminds me of the seasons of our faith journey. Fall, winter, spring and summer are all symbolic of parts of our journey with God. If you are new to faith, ask God to let the beauty of His nature sink deep into your heart; maybe even take time to wander in a park to enjoy His marvelous wonders.

I hope you enjoy this poem to celebrate spring and the renewal of our faith.

"Consider how the wild flowers grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you, not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these.

Luke 12:27 (NIV)

A sacred shift is underway

As springtime blooms now get their way

As it is in my own soul

Opening up like buds unfold

~

Warmth of sun now stirs the sap

So later on the leaves will clap

Spirit stirs down deep in me

So my hands may honor Thee

~

Then a season when leaves fall

But the tree's still standing tall

And with me too are times of loss

But God refines me, skims the dross

~

Even though the tree grows cold

Roots beneath still keep their hold

Then spring arrives in full array

And cold no longer holds its sway

~

And God's great hand it rescues me

So I may bloom again for Thee
