Words of Glory

“For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart” -Hebrews 4:12

During a retreat, I heard some verses of the Bible read and the words pierced my heart and brought a level of warmth, consolation and filling that I needed badly at that time.   I then heard "words of glory came to me" as clear as a bell.   Here below is the rest of the poem.  I pray that as you meditate on God's word, it will have a similar filling effect on you as well.

Words of glory came to me

Showered forth like glistening sea

Cast a light upon my soul

Shadows fade, now life behold.

Word so strong, word so wise

Word it came to Jesus' bride;

Warmth it came like summers day

Healed my heart, no words to say

Living words they carry me

And fill my heart, how can this be?
